Biking
Though cycles have been around as cheap mode
of transport in the
Terai and the hilly regions for a long time, the advent
of mountain bikes has given a new meaning to adventure activities.
Plenty of dirt roads and trails exist to scenic destinations
close to the Kathmandu Valley. One can bike in and around
the Kathmandu Valley and even reach up to the neighboring
townships of Dhulikhel, Bouddha, and Kakani. Biking around
Pokhara is also very popular Pedaling up some of the steep
trails of the Annapurna areas and the Everest region is
becoming increasingly popular year by year.
Motorcycles can also be hired in Kathmandu,
Pokhara, Chitwat and other urban areas of Nepal. |
